About Yumpy

Yumpy is a cat.

Not a mascot. Not a logo. Not a “brand concept.”

A real cat—with opinions, preferences, and a very clear belief that life should be lived on her terms.

If you ask Norm, Yumpy is also the founder of this company.

And honestly, that’s not far from the truth.

Where This All Started

Like a lot of pet products, Yumpy didn’t start in a boardroom—it started with a simple question:

Why does so much pet gear feel like it was designed without really thinking about the animal wearing it?

Too bulky. Too restrictive. Too complicated.
Built for convenience, but not always for comfort—or freedom.

And for small animals, especially cats, those tradeoffs matter even more.

Cats aren’t built to tolerate clunky accessories. They’re agile, independent, and very good at letting you know when something isn’t right.

Yumpy made that clear early on.

A Different Point of View

Around here, we like to say Yumpy started the company to help small animals everywhere.

Playful? Yes.
But the idea behind it is serious.

We believe small animals deserve products that:

  • Respect how they naturally move and behave
  • Prioritize comfort as much as safety
  • Don’t interfere with their ability to explore, climb, and just be themselves

Because the goal isn’t to control your pet’s world—it’s to support it.

Freedom, With a Safety Net

There’s always a balance.

On one side, you want your pet to live freely—to explore, roam, and express all the instincts that make them who they are.
On the other, you want peace of mind. You want to know they’re safe.

Most products lean too far in one direction.

Yumpy exists to find the middle ground.

To create things that feel almost invisible to your pet, while quietly doing their job in the background.

Where SNAP! Fits In

SNAP! is just the beginning.

It solves a small but frustrating problem—making it incredibly easy to attach something like an AirTag to your pet’s collar, without bulk, hassle, or compromise.

But it also represents something bigger:

A belief that even the simplest interactions can—and should—be better.

What Comes Next

We’re just getting started.

From rethinking small animal collars to developing entirely new kinds of pet accessories, our focus is the same:

Build products that small animals would actually choose—if they had a say.

Yumpy would insist on that.

The Bottom Line

This company exists because one small cat had very high standards.

And we think she’s right.
